The "WaveTune Radio" application (the "App") is developed and maintained by avih6 as a free utility application. This SERVICE is provided at no cost and is intended for use "AS IS".
The App operates on a strict privacy-first approach: it does not require user account registration, does not create cloud profiles, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, or user location coordinates.
Independent Audio Player & Directory Browser: WaveTune Radio is an independent mobile application developed solely by avih6.
• Third-Party Broadcast Content: The application functions as an audio tuner and directory browser connecting to public internet streams. avih6 does NOT own, produce, host, broadcast, rebroadcast, or monitor the audio content, music, talk shows, news, opinions, or advertisements transmitted by independent radio stations.
• Broadcaster Intellectual Property: All radio broadcasts, trademarks, and station brand names remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective owners and broadcasters.
The App utilizes the AndroidX Media3 / ExoPlayer framework via an Android Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK) strictly to enable uninterrupted background audio playback and display lock-screen media controls.
When a station is selected, the application establishes a direct stream connection between the user's device and the third-party broadcaster's streaming server. No audio streams are routed through or stored on developer-owned proxy servers.
• On-Device Stream Recording: If the user utilizes the built-in recording feature, audio files are saved strictly to the physical device's local storage for personal, offline listening. Recordings are never uploaded, synchronized, or transmitted to any external server.
• Exact Alarms & Sleep Timer: Scheduled radio alarms and sleep timers are managed strictly by the local Android OS alarm subsystem (USE_EXACT_ALARM / SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM).
User preferences (including favorited stations, recent search history, audio buffer settings, and theme choices) are stored strictly locally on the device using a Room SQLite database and Jetpack DataStore. This data is never transmitted to external servers.

Any download or distribution through third-party websites, APK mirror portals, or unofficial app stores is unauthorized and unmaintained. avih6 assumes no responsibility for modified, corrupted, or potentially harmful APK files obtained outside the official Google Play Store.

Security of user information is prioritized, and commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are employed. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% immune to vulnerabilities, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
The Service is designed for a general audience. There is no intentional collection or solicitation of personal information from children under the age of 13. If it is discovered that a child under 13 has provided personal data without parental consent, please send a notification immediately to the contact email so that the information can be promptly removed.
