The "QR Generator & Scanner" application (the "App") is developed and maintained by avih6 as a free, ad-supported utility application. This SERVICE is provided at no cost and is intended for use "AS IS".

The App operates on a strict privacy-first approach: it does not require user account registration, does not maintain cloud database tracking, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, or user location data.

2. Camera Hardware, QR Processing & Local Data Handling

2.1 Camera Permission & Real-Time On-Device QR Scanning

• Camera Hardware Access: The App requests runtime camera access (android.permission.CAMERA) strictly to scan and decode optical QR codes, Data Matrix symbols, and standard barcodes in real time using on-device machine vision algorithms.

• Zero Image Storage & Streaming: The optical camera feed is processed entirely in volatile device memory (RAM) in real time. The App never records, captures, stores, streams, or transmits camera photographs, video frames, or audio feeds to external servers.

2.2 On-Device QR Code Generation

Custom QR codes (for URLs, plain text, Wi-Fi configuration, or contact cards) are generated 100% locally on the device hardware using local bitmap rendering. Generated graphics are saved to the device gallery or shared only upon explicit user export action.

2.3 Local Scan History & Preferences

Scanned code history, generated templates, and customization preferences (such as dark/light themes and haptic feedback) are stored strictly locally in private storage on the physical device. Users can clear their scan history at any time using the in-app clear action.

3. Third-Party Advertising & Technical Data Collection

3.1 Google AdMob & Android Privacy Sandbox

To support the application as a free utility, the App integrates Google AdMob to serve non-intrusive advertisements:

• Google AdMob: AdMob may process advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / AAID) and coarse IP data to serve and measure advertisements in compliance with its privacy policies. Google automatically anonymizes log data by removing portions of IP addresses after 9 months and cookie data after 18 months.
• Privacy Sandbox for Android: The application supports modern privacy-preserving advertising APIs in Android 13+ (such as AdServices Topics and Attribution APIs) designed to limit cross-app tracking.

4. Official Distribution Channel

The only authorized and official distribution platform for QR Generator & Scanner is the Google Play Store:

Any download or distribution through third-party websites, APK mirror portals, or unofficial app stores is unauthorized and unmaintained. avih6 assumes no responsibility for modified, corrupted, or potentially harmful APK files obtained outside the official Google Play Store.

5. User Rights & Local Data Management

Because the App operates without user accounts and stores no personal data on external servers, data control is managed directly on the local device:

• Local Data Removal: Clearing application storage via Android OS Settings or uninstalling the App immediately and permanently erases all locally stored scan logs, generated codes, and preferences from the physical device.
• Anonymous Diagnostics: Technical telemetry and crash reports processed by advertising partners are pseudonymous, aggregated, and automatically expired according to standard retention schedules; they cannot be linked to individual user identities or email addresses.

6. Data Security

Security of user information is prioritized, and commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are employed. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% immune to vulnerabilities, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is designed for a general audience. There is no intentional collection or solicitation of personal information from children under the age of 13. If it is discovered that a child under 13 has provided personal data without parental consent, please send a notification immediately to the contact email so that the information can be promptly removed.

8. International Privacy Regulations & Scope

• European & UK GDPR Compliance: The Application respects the rights of users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) through strict data minimization and zero persistent personal data tracking.
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): The App does not sell or share personal consumer information. Users retain full rights to query data handling policies under applicable US state privacy frameworks.
