The "Hofesh!" (חופש!) application (the "App") is developed and maintained by avih6 as a free, completely ad-free utility application. This SERVICE is provided at no cost and is intended for use "AS IS".
The App operates on a strict privacy-first approach: it does not require user registration, does not create cloud user accounts, contains no advertisements, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, or user locations.
Independent Schedule Aid: Hofesh! is an independent utility tool developed solely by avih6.
• No Government Affiliation: The App is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or operated on behalf of the Israel Ministry of Education (משרד החינוך), the Government of Israel, or any municipal educational department.
• Informational Schedule Aid: Holiday schedules, school vacation dates, and countdown timers are provided for personal educational and organizational convenience only.
• Precedence of Official Circulars: Official circulars, schedules, and publications issued directly by the Israel Ministry of Education or relevant school administrations always take precedence over application countdowns.
When using the App, user preferences and custom targets are processed strictly on the physical device:
The App queries public holiday and Jewish calendar schedules in real time over secure HTTPS from the public Hebcal API (api.hebcal.com). These requests are processed ephemerally solely to display accurate holiday dates. No personal identifiers, user profiles, or device identifiers are transmitted or tracked during these queries.
